- HIP turbine rotor shaft and blades will not deform plastically.
- Rotor component has infinite remaining life.
- In term of startup-shutdown and derating events, conservative approach refers to maximum numbers of startup-shutdown and derating in current year (278 cycles per year), HIP turbine blades have finite fatigue life 45,921 cycles or 165 years.
- Remaining life of HIP turbine blades to reach maximum wear-out 0.103 mm can be determined if wear-out rate at blade firtree-disk contact data is available. Assuming several wear-out rate values remaining life at blade firtree-disk contact shown in Table 1.
